It’s a wrap! We bid farewell to GEO Week 2019.

As GEO Week 2019 came to an official close, FrontierSI was proud to have played a critical role in the week-long event which saw Ministers from GEO’s 105 Member governments, business leaders, heads of international non-profits and passionate experts on Earth Observation from across the globe descend onto our capital city to discuss Earth observation innovations and the latest in data and technology.

Discussions and presentations centred around how future economic and business decisions should consider how the planet is changing, and how Earth observation data can improve our economies. GEO Week 2019 and the GEO Ministerial Summit clearly highlighted how investments in Earth observation could make this possible, while delivering major returns on investment to our global economies and communities.

FrontierSI was fortunate enough to present a summary of GEO Week 2019 Industry Track Programme to GEO’s key decision making body, GEO-XVI Plenary, consisting of delegations from GEO’s Member governments and Participating Organisations who meet annually to broaden the impact of Earth observations and deliver on sustainable development, climate change and disaster resilience targets.

I would personally like to thank all the dedicated FrontierSI staff who represented the organisation and to everyone who came past our booth to discuss the exciting developments currently underway including FrontierSI’s future involvement. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
