The Challenge
Following on from the Location Based Reporting tool that was created for Spatial Services we will stood up and hosted this tool for The Cabinet Office. Further to this we added new geographies for The Cabinet Office’s (TCO) specific needs. FrontierSI will provided a short training session as well as provided keep-the-lights-on support. An additional offering was available and taken, to add in more geographies during the maintenance period.

The Solution
Location Based Reporting Tool was a location-based insights reporting tool that helps transform Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data into useful insights for local areas such as health districts or service zones. It made national statistics more relevant by matching them to the areas that matter most. The tool could be completely customised to any organisation’s needs, ensuring getting the insights that matter most in the format that works best.
With the Location Based Reporting Tool, it could quickly map ABS data to specific boundaries. The tool ran on a simple, secure website where you can create custom reports, choose the data that was needed, and get results that fit any organisation.
Impact
Location Based Reporting Tool helped make better decisions by showing how national data applies to a specified local area. It was great for planning, reporting, or shaping policy giving clear, local insights in just a few clicks.
