FrontierSI Recognised as a Partner in the UN-GGCE Program

We are proud to announce that FrontierSI has been officially recognised as a partner of the United Nations Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence (UN-GGCE) Partnership Program. This prestigious acknowledgment highlights our contributions to advancing geodesy and strengthening the global geodesy supply chain.

The UN-GGCE Partnership Program, launched in June 2024, was established to recognise the exceptional contributions of Member States, universities, and organisations. As a valued partner, this partnership supports our ongoing efforts to sustain the global geodesy supply chain, which includes operating ground observatories, data centres, and analysis centres, as well as contributing to geodetic education and standards.

Society’s reliance on the global geodesy supply chain is critical. The services it enables—from satellite-based systems to infrastructure monitoring—are fundamental to national economies and essential systems like energy, transport, and finance. However, despite its importance, the geodesy supply chain is often under-resourced and relies heavily on contributions from Member States, universities, and organisations. Recognising these challenges, the United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 69/266 in 2015, encouraging collaborative efforts to sustain and enhance the global geodesy framework.

By joining the UN-GGCE Partnership Program, FrontierSI aligns with the UN-GGCE’s mission of promoting geodesy and supporting the global geodesy supply chain. Together, we aim to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), delivering social, environmental, and economic benefits worldwide.

We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with the UN-GGCE, working together to build a stronger future for geodesy.
