Ever wanted to know about image rectification?

A new sub-volume in the publication series entitled Earth Observation: Data, Processing and Applications has been released. This series is an Australian Earth Observation (EO) community undertaking to describe EO data, processing and applications in an Australian context. These publications include a wide range of local case studies to demonstrate Australia’s increasing reliance on EO data.

The new sub-volume, Image Rectification (Volume 2B), describes concepts and processes for correcting EO image geometry, including:

  • relevant cartographical background;
  • factors impacting the geometry of EO imagery;
  • models for image rectification; and
  • methods for resampling imagery.

Each sub-volume in this series comprises a range of relevant topics that are suitable for both tertiary teaching and professional reference. All available sub-volumes in this series can be freely downloaded in PDF format from the CRCSI website.
