Analytics Lab Program

The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is seeking a deeper interface with the Australian geospatial landscape through its Analytics Lab Program (AGO Labs) and is seeking project proposals until September 6, 2019.

Three demonstrator projects will be funded through the call at a value of $100,000 each, as the AGO looks to expand its pool of companies and technologies to work with on automated gepospatial intelligence.

The program aims to address AGO capability challenges through a small number of short-term industry projects, with a focus on machine learning and analytics for producing automated imagery analysis, including automated object classification.

The AGO has nominated novel capability challenge topics including ‘beautiful contours’, ‘features unsupervised’ and ‘low-cost object identification models’.

FrontierSI has been integral in the development of the program and believes the AGO Labs is a great opportunity to open up new markets for Australian companies.

This exciting opportunity can really help AGO extend its capability and access those innovation markets that were unreachable in the past. At the same time, a program such as this can enable Australian businesses to showcase their skillsets to AGO.
